Katy Perry Latest Fashion, Makeup, Hairstyle 2009-2010
MTV held the Video Music Awards in New York City. Katy Perry blinded everyone when she stepped out onto the red carpet. The star wore a showgirl-inspired outfit that would have looked more at home in Las Vegas than at Radio City Music Hall.
Katy’s hair was the best thing about her whole outfit. She swept her bangs back and wore her hair in loose waves. It was a lovely style that brought out her great facial structure but was not enough to atone for the horrendous outfit she wore. Her makeup style was ok – her coral lipstick was a little too bright for her but the silvery eyeliner and eyeshadow was very pretty.
Katy looked like a joke in her dress. The short sleeveless number was silver and blinding in the light. There even were small spikes that stuck out among the sequins. The skirt rode too high on the hips and hung in various lengths around her legs. The dress laced up in the back; it was styled like a corset but nowhere near as flattering. Nothing about this dress flattered Katy at all – the color and cut were just all wrong for her. Perhaps if she had been starring in a really bad sci-fi knockoff she could have gotten away with it. As it was, she just looked ridiculous. Even her shoes were hideous – bright silver heels that were too big for her and looked incredibly uncomfortable with their severely pointed toes. Just what was Katy thinking wearing this?
